We harvest and store rainwater to ensure a steady supply for our daily needs. Through a valued partnership with Isuzu Kenya, we received water tanks that have greatly improved our water storage capacity. Being located in a semi-arid area that often experiences water scarcity, rainwater harvesting remains an essential part of our sustainability efforts.

We are pleased to note that piped water is now available, supplied by the County Government of Kiambu, which delivers water to the Ngoliba campus twice a week. Our management team continues to actively participate in community water meetings to ensure consistent access to clean and safe water for both the centre and the surrounding community.

Additionally, we have already conducted a geological survey for a proposed borehole, and the water table has been successfully identified. We are currently seeking funding to begin the drilling process, which will not only provide a reliable water source for The Ark but also benefit the wider Ngoliba community. The borehole is envisioned as both a sustainability initiative and an income-generating project to support the home’s long-term operations.
